Staying Motivated To Create During Covid

If you're a creative type and you've been feeling like you are cramped, stuck inside, unmotivated, or just generally down on yourself - you're definitely not alone.

However, I personally think this is one of the best times to channel all of that frustration and uncertainty into interesting art.

Think about it: global pandemics don't happen very often. We're forced into a headspace that is wildly outside of our comfort zones. Being forced into a specific headspace allows us to think and create and ways that we normally wouldn't.

I personally have taken this time to create several prints for the fall/winter 2020/2021 collections and primed this brand to succeed in the coming months. I was able to achieve this by channeling the stress I have into working my a$$ off at the computer pretty much all day.

Am I ready to move out of quarantine mode? Yes. Am I worried that I'm going to become complacent to the quarantine lifestyle and not want to leave my house even after this is all over? Sometimes I think of that, yes.

However, I know at the end of the day that this is going to be the year that I changed my life. I'm going to look back on 2020 and laugh because it was the pivotal time that I spent in grind mode that changed the course of my career.

If you're reading this thinking to yourself, "Damn, I've done nothing all quarantine" - there's never been a better time to start working towards your goals than the present.

Be easy on yourself if you needed time to reset. Things are crazy in the world right now. You're doing great.
